For my post on the Pat-Rachel segment....I don't want anyone to think I am supporting racist remarks on tv. I wasn't looking at the whole picture and I didn't completely think it through.

Ive thought about it a lot  and watched the video again and i agree, Rachel was wrong to bring him on. I hope she explains why she did it on Monday. And I hope MSNBC takes some kind of action against Pat, I doubt they will sadly but I'm sure people remember the whole Don Imus thing. What he said was wrong and he was fired, well Pat says terrible things every day. It's not right for MSNBC to keep paying him for it.

Anyways, so yea I'm sorry :( I feel really bad.

I know that David Schuster got blind-sided and had to go into "wall-to-wall" coverage mode very quickly, but he did seem to be struggling a little bit.

Rachel (who still probably had to throw out her whole planned show) did an amazing job, managing to be both deferential to Brokaw, Rather, and Brian Williams, but also letting her own personality come through and asking interesting questions.

As sad as everybody obviouisly is, I think she managed to strike just the right tone.

I LOVE THIS WOMAN SO MUCH!!!

No. 15: Rachel Maddow
Maddow's eponymous cable talk/news/events show debuted last year and now regularly beats her CNN competitor, Larry King Live, in the ratings. Maddow, 36, quickly established a reputation as someone who could tackle issues with intelligence and irreverence. With her embrace of Twittering, podcasting and fan art, she appeals to a younger, hipper audience. Her Web site is even designed like an iPod, with a "playlist." She also has a regular show on Air America, the liberal radio station.

The Most Influential Women in Media is based on money, fame, audience and power. Money is determined by an estimation of earnings from approximately July 2008 to July 2009. Audience is determined by average Nielsen Media Research numbers for television ratings and net traffic for the past 12 months. Fame and influence is determined by overall mentions on Factiva and by social media outreach, or the amount of followers on Twitter and friends on Facebook.

I really fucking hate it when they make you go through a slideshow to see the list. Just print the damn list. I also hate when the slideshow has to reload the page for every slide. Flash, you guys--it's not that hard.

Also at that Forbes article: Who's Hot: The Rising Stars
We asked the women at wowOwow one simple question: Who's your pick for today's fastest-rising media star?

Candice Bergen: Rachel Maddow is the smart chick du jour but here to stay. A total star.

Marlo Thomas: I like Rachel Maddow because I always learn a little something when I watch her, as opposed to most of the screaming boys. And she's so sassy.

I finally saw the Rachel Maddow page for Encyclopedia Dramatica. I actually, a while back, requested it...but had no idea they finally made it.

For those that don't know, ED is pretty much a wiki-parody. It is built to make fun of every single thing that crosses it's path. For example...well, actually...I can't give an example because its all very, very naughty...LOL
But go here for serious funny: http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Kim_Jong_Il

Keep in mind its all highly offensive...but, well, what can you expect from professional internet trolls? Lol.

Anyhoo...my point was that they finally made a page about Maddow! And its, actually, POSITIVE. It's literally the nicest page that I've ever seen for ANYBODY on ED. (They don't do nice often) And, while it still pokes fun at Olbermann and the like, it says "Anyone who watches her show becomes an instant bisexual."
Clearly talking about her fangirls...

Well, AFTER you look at some of the other entries on encyclopediadramatica.com, you should seriously check out her page to see the difference and see how awesomely she is loved there!

http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Rachel_Maddow

And don't think horribly of me for spending vast amounts of time on this site! LOL

If you're tweeting about Pat, please add #maddow.
Many of us are trying to get her trending rather than him...more of a positive focus, you might say.

There's a couple of dairies complaining about Rachel bringing on Pat tonight because it gives him a platform to air his racist views. While, I understand that the man is unbearable to listen to - but Rachel did an awesome job tonight. She made him look  completely out of touch. Yes, his views are disgusting but Rachel made him look so backwards.

Watching the show tonight - made me want to see Rachel in more debates again, not with Pat but with other conservatives or even democrats.

I do agree though that Pat needs to be taken off MSNBC and replaced with someone else because he is a racist and he offends MSNBC viewers with his crap however as long as he is still employed by MSNBC and he comes on a show like Rachel's and he is not given a pass - I don't see the harm. It does more good than harm to have someone intelligent like Rachel debate him.

Excuse the dumb question, but is there an official art book of DOGS? I've seen a lot of full-color official art, yet I'm not getting any results when I search for it on the Japanese Amazon site...

If there IS one, does anyone know where I can order a copy? I don't want a download; I just want the actual book.

So I had originally made a manga coloring tutorial for my friend but I haven't posted here in awhile so I just thought 'why the hell not'. I'm slowly working on a batch for you guys though! This tutorial actually kind of previews the icons in the batch..
Anyways, the tutorial was made for SAI Paint Tool (because I'm usually too lazy to open Photoshop), though I'm pretty sure it's translatable to PS and some other art programs.
(my coloring style is amazingly simple)

LIKE I SAID, this was made for my friend, so it's kind of sloppy and handwritten. Sorry, haha.

GETTING YOUR PANELS TO LOOK LIKE THIS:

why would you even want to color like me anyways. )
